Unmet needs, expectations, old hurts, injuries can be stored in the tissues as cellular memory in the body. In a safe environment the body and mind can relax and release layers of unnecessary tension creating a more vibrant, flexible and happy version of oneself. This opens up more possibilities to participate in daily life and adds more ease and efficiency to everything we do.
Penny’s work includes Feldenkrais movement education classes, private, deep or light tissue Therapeutic Massage, Jin Shin Jyutsu, a physio-philosophy art harmonizing the life energy of the body with gentle hands on energy pathways for balancing and CranioSacral, a gentle hands-on balancing of the body that activates the cerebral spinal flow through holding and waiting for an innate rhythm from the brain to balance the entire body.
With over 26 years working in the healing arts, Penny’s sessions can be an eclectic combination of the above methods and other energy studies she has added over the years.

Penny, I am still using the tools that you taught us last week ATM. Sometimes opening the hip area while lying in bed, sometimes standing, even sitting, and changing my head and shoulder positions to experience the more options that you are always wanting us to experience. That lesson was quite a revelation for me, and I thank you sooo much. I don’t think I was ready to learn until last week that I was still holding a lot of trauma from my ladder fall. You are not only a wonderful and beautiful person, but an amazing teacher and guide.
I had been looking for the right body worker/healer for a long time. When I found Penny, I knew it was perfect. Her years of experience and dedication using various modalities are incorporated in her work. Penny's hands know just what to do to relax the muscles in my body so I can walk straighter and leave the aches on the table. She taught me how to be aware of my old habits that misaligned my spine and muscles. Penny sets a beautiful calming presence in her studio with water fountains flowing to beautiful music. "In thinking about how Feldenkrais has affected my life, I become overwhelmed on how to simplify my response as it is such a complete whole body renewal. I began taking classes with Penny Neu about 5 years ago and look forward each week to the class in which I am ALWAYS reminded how my body loves to be integrated and work as whole rather than disjointed units. Over the time that I have been attending classes with Penny I have had both hips replaced two years apart. I felt so much more connected to my new titanium hips after Feldenkrais class rather than the prescribed physical therapy that by the time I had the second hip replaced I chose to forgo PT all together and just do my weekly Feldenkrais class. My friends have commented on my walking and posture and I have even relaxed my feet and toes to stretch and integrate with this walk to the extent that I have had to move up ½ size in my shoes. My goal has always been to walk and move with the fluidity of “an African Princess”. By allowing my body to experience the tiny awakening movements of Feldenkrais that it previously shut down in its rush to get something accomplished, I am daily getting closer to this goal."
